Things that have brightened this weekend...

It's a very churchy list this week but, well, that's what i've done with my weekend:
  1. A Songs of Praise service with a massed choir from various local churches.
To be honest, i went along with a sense of "Well, i guess i should show some support..", not really expecting very much ..but i was pleasantly surprised. The weeks and weeks of rehearsals really paid off because the choir were in fine voice, the mixture of songs were ideal and the service was the perfect length to leave you wanting more without dragging on. Not my usual idea of a fun Saturday night, but good all the same.
  2. The baptism of a teeny-weeny super-adorable baby boy in morning worship. 'Nuff said.
  3. Witnessing the signing of a covenant agreement, marking a commitment for a church and a homelessness project to work together.
  4. Finally, after a seemingly-endless delay by the disclosure process, officially signing my contract to take up my new Youth Work job. !!!! (Super excited.)
  5. A wee night-time road trip to the Last Bus Cafe in New Pitsligo - more on that to follow in a later post.
All in all, it's been a rather busy but lovely weekend!
